Grandma Sampson took Ryann and some of the other girls to Disney on Ice. Ryann did very well at watching the show, there was only a few times that she wanted to climb over the chairs. The part that made the show worth it, was when Mickey and Minnie came out, she got so excited, she pointed at them, looked at me, gave me a hug, and then looked back at Mickey and Minnie, that moment was just awesome. Grandma Sampson got her a Minnie, and I got her the pink purse, ans she seriously had to be holding both of them to go to bed. It was a good night, Thanks Grandma Sampson.

For Halloween Ryann was either a fairy, or a butterfly. I was going for fairy, but I heard butterfly when we went to visit Anthony at work, so whatever. Ryann at first wasn't sure about having the costume on, she kept trying to take the wings off, and kept taking the tutu off, but by the end of the day she was all over it. We went Trick or Treating at Aunt Louise's, I am not much of a Halloween person, and Ryann is still young, so I figured one house was good. Anthony told her that he would take her out next year. I guess we will work on saying Trick or Treat.

This past weekend, we went and hiked to the MT. Timpanogos Caves with the Sampson clan. It is definitely quite the climb but the view and the company was worth it. Anthony volunteered to carry Ryann, and was extremely glad when he reached the "No Metal Child Carriers Beyond This Point", which is what we were using. Ryann enjoyed being outside, the only thing she didn't care for is not being able to go and explore the caves on her own, I told her maybe when she gets older. It was an excellent day, I just love it when we get out of the house and do things as a family, especially with Ryann and seeing her reaction to new things.

I know her first birthday was well over a month ago, but I guess better late than never. Ryann got to have 2 1st Birthday Parties. Her first party was with the Sampson family, while we were down in Lake Powell, and her second was with the McBride's on her birthday.
We took a few gifts for her to open in Lake Powell, one was a build a bear, and she had to give it LOVES immediately, and then went around to everyone in the room and let them give the bear a hug, it was sooo cute. I think her favorite part was when everyone sang Happy Birthday to her, she clapped her hands and just smiled during the whole song. By her second party she had realized that underneath the wrapping paper was something for her, we would open on present she would look at it, and then quickly hand me another present. Anthony and I gave her a wagon, and she loves it when we go on wagon rides. She was spoiled by everyone. Thanks to Everyone for coming, and for the presents.

I decided to make cookies the other day, and also decided
to let Ryann help. I told her about the bosch machine, and
let her play with some of the measuring cups we used, and
as we were making the dry ingredient mix, she decided she
needed to taste the flour, I told her YUCK, and she should
wait and taste the finished product (not the cookie dough, but
the cookie after it has baked, because we don't eat raw cookie
dough (okay I gave her a little taste)), but she smiled and
dipped her little finger in again. So I moved the flour
out of her reach, and we finished baking the cookies. Then we
sat down on the floor and shared a cookie, Ryann wasn't
to interested in it, I say give time she will learn.

This past week, we took a little vacation and went to
Powell for a week with the Sampson Family. I will
admit I was nervous taking Ryann, but we survived.

Ryann LOVED playing in the SAND. She also enjoyed
playing in the water, just as long as she didn't have
to wear the life jacket. The triangle thing in the
background, is Anthony's Sand Creation.

When we would go and play on the beach, Ry would always
insist that she sit on the jet ski. So I asked Anthony if
he would take her for a ride, with out tipping over. He did
a perfect job, Ryann enjoyed it.

These ruins were close to were we camped. It was crazy
thinking that back in the day Indians called this place
there home.

Anthony is the wakeboarder jumping, I am the one that looks
scared, and well I was. It was only my second time going.

Bath time was not one of Ryann's favorite things to do.
Who can blame her, bathing in lake water isn't all that warm.

This past week while I was at my Mom's, we got to spend time with some cousins Coy, Ian, and Emma. Ryann of course has seen these three before, but really couldn't play with them. Now that she can, she had soooo much fun playing with all 3, especially Emma. They would just play, giggle, and throw in a few screams. It was fun watching them interact. I am sure Ryann can't wait until they can play again.
This past Thursday, Grandpa Sampson took some of us out on his boat. Thanks Grandpa Sampson. It was Ryann's first boat ride, and she did pretty good. I was really surprised she didn't fuss over the life jacket. Both Anthony and I wake boarded, but I just didn't stay up long enough for any pictures, I did get up, but just went down as fast as I came up. Guess I need some practice.

As Ryann is getting older, she is able to eat more of "OUR FOOD". I decided to make her some Jello, and well as you can tell by the pictures, it was a success. I would have to say her favorite meal would have to be homemade mac and cheese with string beans, she seriously inhales the dish.

While visiting Aurora, I decided to take Ryann swimming for the first time. She loves her bath time, so I figured she would love swimming. My sister and her kids joined us at the Richfield Pool. At first she wasn't sure, but after a minute she warmed up to the idea of being in a pool. She liked floating on her tummy, mostly because she could then put her face in the water, tongue out and drink some water, splashing around, and watching all of the other kids. It was a good day, and a GREAT week being home.

Here are a few pics from her 9 Month Photoshoot. Anthony thought it would be easier to take pictures of her when she was older because she would be able to sit up on her own, now he thinks it was easier when she was younger, because getting her to sit still was next to impossible. I think they turned out cute.

At the end of March, the Sampson family went to California to watch Mishaelle in a cheer competition, who did a great job. While there we just had to visit DISNEYLAND. Even though Ryann was way too young to ride most of the rides she did go on a few. Her first ride was Pirates of the Carribean! Her favorite part was watching the parades.
We all had a good time.

Cute Pants

When I finished this last rotation, I went home with my mom, so I could work on one of my goals, sewing. I decided to make Ryann some PJ bottoms, and I think I did a pretty good job. Took all day , but it was worth it. I actually enjoyed doing it. Now I hope to do some more projects and improve my sewing skills. Thanks Mom, for your help.

Teeth Already

Anthony was watching Ryann on Wed, while I was getting my, hair coloring job gone wrong, fixed. For some reason he was inspecting one of Ryann's toys and noticed there were chew marks on the toy, so he felt her gums and discovered that Ryann is in the process of getting 2 of her bottom teeth. He texted me his discovery, and naturally I didn't believe him. So when I got home I felt her gums and yep Anthony was right, she is getting 2 of her bottom teeth. All I could think was 1. How bad is the pain going to be. 2. My baby is growing up.

Anthony wanted to take some pictures of Ryann and I in our hats, so we took advantage of one of the not so cold days, and went to the park. Ryann just looks so cute in her hat.

New Year's Resolution

So I have never really set any new year resolutions before, but for some odd reason I have decided to do so this year. I can't guarantee, but I hope I follow through with all of them.

1. Exercise. I eventually want to be able to run a 5k. (Maradee get ready)
2. Read the Book of Mormon
3. Learn how to sew. My first project is to sew Ryann some PJ bottoms.
4. Become a better cook. So I can do my fair share of cooking. Anthony does a majority of the cooking, mostly because he is so picky, but also because I have a hard time.
