Bike Ride to the "BIG PARK"

Ryann and I decided to go on a bike ride today, destination the "BIG PARK", where all of Ryann's "Friends" play.  I told her okay, but then explained we had to go up a big hill, but she was determined to go and play. So off we went, up the big hill (Maradee can testify on how big the hill is) Ry rode her bike the entire way, no worries mom pushed her up the big hill, (lots of heavy breathing), but we made it to the park, and how lucky is Ryann here friends had made to the park as well. The ride home was a breeze, however I think we made it up the hill faster than we did coming down.

Already driving crazy, and working on some tricks.

Zion - The end portion of the Narrows

We decided to visit Zion and hike the end portion of the Narrows, before it got to cold to play in the river. I know cold in ST. George, yep its possible, eventually.  Ryann was excited to play in the water and she did very well on the hike, we figure she did about 4 miles.  There was a section of the river that got up to our chest, and so Anthony had to carry both packs and I had to carry Ryann, and shocking, that part was her favorite.  Everything made it across without getting to wet, with the exception of Anthony's ipod.   It was a great day spent outside, in the water, and with each other.

3rd Birthday

My Little Girl is Growing UP!
This year Ryann had a little birthday party with some cousins, they ate spaghetti, opened presents, made necklaces, and the best part played with each other.  Ryann honestly loves to play, and loves her cousins.  Anthony also threw together some little party favor bags, which was a huge hit, particularly the silly string.
For her birthday Grandpa, Nannie and Chelsea came over to celebrate.   Grandpa took us to Texas Roadkill, and Ryann was able to sit on the saddle while they sang their version of "Happy Birthday", she was so embarrassed.  Later we went back to the house for cake and ice cream....and of course to open presents.  This year for her birthday, Ryann insisted on getting a pink, glittery, princess computer, and a princess birthday cake.   We accomplished the computer wish, along with a bike and games, as far as the cake went, well it ended up being my version of a "princess cake". She must have enjoyed it, because the next day she informed me her birthday was coming again soon.

Washington County Fair

In August we attended the Washington County Fair, much like the previous year to pet a farm animal you had to pay (LAME), or if your lucky catch one in the show area (not sure what the exact name for that area is).  So the main attraction was the carnival.  Ryann didn't remember a whole lot from last year, so it seemed like a first time at the carnival for her.  She was really nervous going on her first ride, but after that LOVED going on the rides, her favorite was probably the slide.

Lake Powell

Lake Powell, what more can you say.  It is an absolutely BEAUTIFUL, place.  We camped on a beach, and despite the giant ant hill we invaded, it wasn't all that bad.  Anthony got us a bigger tent, a better air mattress, and a fan, yep a fan and it worked lovely.  Ryann loved playing in the water, sleeping in a tent, and going on adventures.  She got pretty brave when we would go out swimming, especially with a fun noodle.

The red can is V8 juice, one morning Ryann and I got up and walked over to a rock that looked over the lake, and Ryann enjoyed her morning juice, and then it started raining so we went back to the tent.  It did rain off and on Tuesday.

Playing with fire.
GO UTES!!

It was a FUN trip, thanks Grandpa and Nannie

4th of July

(Ryann with her hand on her heart, as the American Flag went by.)

This year we spent my favorite holiday, in one of the best places around, Sevier Couny (particularly Aurora).  We started the day out by taking Ryann to the Richfield parade, lucky us we have connection, and had an excellent spot saved for us, Thanks Maradee!.  Ryann loved watching the parade, hearing the LOUD sirens, and picking up the candy.  Ryann did have a hard time understanding why some of the floats that went by didn't through her any candy, she would come and "Tell on them". I would have to tell her that not every float can throw candy, it worked and she was over it until the next time.   I think most of all Ryann enjoyed being with her cousins, especially her Gracy.

Ryann loves this girl!!

After the parade, Anthony and I took her over to the Salina, for their festivities.  Ryann was super excited, she went on the bouncy house, did the obstacle course, threw a bing bang (and got a prize), and stood inside of a bubble.

We then went and had a picnic and swim party at Papa and Granny's.  After that we went to the Salina parade with the Sampson clan, and had a BBQ with them after.  As far as fireworks go, well it consisted of Ry and I watching them from Granny's living room window, with Ryann off an on requesting to go to bed.  Not sure why, but the girl is not fond of the fireworks.

It was an AWESOME 4TH OF JULY!!!

Ryann is a dress up queen, or as she says " I style."  She likes to pick out what she will be wearing for the day, and sometimes even gets tired of the first outfit, and will request a different one be put on, I am not surprised when the second outfit has to, if the first one doesn't already, consist of a shirt that "Her Gracy gave her, because she loves me."   She is also starting to LOVE the camera.

Like her eyebrows?  Ryann came up to me with my mascara and said, "Look mom, I did my eyebrows like you."  I just smiled and told her she is looking good.  I will work on the make-up skills later on. Also, if my eyebrows honestly look like that, thanks to everyone for not speaking up sooner.
Oh yea, this Stylin Chic is POTTY TRAINED!!

Ryann LOVES to color, and many times she would show me a picture, and ask me what it was.  I would take a really good guess, always be wrong, and then with disappointment she would tell me what it was.  Well you can imagine the excitement that went on while I was cleaning the bathroom and she was playing with bath crayons (so no worries  that this picture was done on the counter), and Ry asks me to look at her picture.

Ryann:  What is it?
Mom: Its a beautiful flower?
Ryann:  Yes, good job mom.

However, the next day she knowing how proud I was of her flower,  she decided to take a pencil, thank heavens it was only a pencil, and drew lots of flowers and a robot on the wall.  Got to LOVE her.

Easter 2011

This year Ryann was understanding Easter a lot more than last year.  She was pumped to "dig for eggs", as she called it, days before the big Easter egg hunt.  When it came time for the egg hunt, Ry would run looking for eggs, and when she saw one she would yell, "I found one, I found one."  She enjoyed the hunt soooo much when it was all finished she would take eggs out of her basket run set them in the grass, run back to the porch, and then run and find the eggs she had just hid.  She also participated in the egg throwing in the garden, I'm sure she thought that was just awesome.  It was a great weekend, with people we love being around.

Zion

We decided to drive to Zion and take Ry on a hike.  She loved it!! We did about a mile, and she walked the entire way.  It was a long mile, for we had to stop and take pictures, walk on some of the walls, and let Ry dig for dinosaur bones, not sure where she came up with that one.

I had a very hard time getting her to look at me so I could take her pictures.  She is a very busy, energetic, I will do what I want, fun loving girl.

Ry and Anthony.  She insisted on following him when he stepped off the path to take a picture, and if he got to far ahead, she was quick to catch up.
